A Boiler Service Inspection Includes:

1.Visual Inspection
Our engineer will inspect your boiler and examine any weak points. This could be anything from corrosion damage to a gas leak. They will then take a look at the boiler’s flame giving them an idea of what works and what doesn’t.

2. Removal Of The Casing
Once the engineer has had a good look at the boiler from the outside he then will remove the casing and inspect the inside. He will check the main components of the boiler to make sure they are operating properly. When our engineer removes the casing he has to check certain areas such as the burner, spark proof, heat exchanger etc.

3. Flue check
The engineer will check that there are no obstructions to the flue terminals, that is has been safely fitted, and whether there are any dangerous emissions being discharged.

4. Gas Pressure Checks
The fourth step is to check the gas pressure in the boiler to identify potential issues, as well as testing to ensure the radiators and taps heat up to the correct level.

5. Issuance Of Report
Finally, you will receive a full report of the service that the engineer has carried out. This will detail the tests taken and their results, as well as a list of concerning factors and how to combat them. If your boiler is deemed dangerous your engineer will be able to offer more information on repairs or replacements.

Here at MCR Gas, we charge £65* for site visit. we will send one of our experienced Gas Safe engineers to your home to inspect your boiler and diagnose the problem you are having with your heating system.

How Long Does It Take To Service A Boiler?
